We had a fantastic time at Hotel Paradis, enjoying the stunning views of Lake Kivu and the warm vibes created by the friendly staff. The basic but clean rooms offered us a good night's sleep, although the early morning church services were quite a wake-up call. Overall, it's a charming and affordable option in Gisenyi, ideal for anyone looking for a relaxing lakeside getaway.

I had a lovely stay at this resort by Lake Kivu. The bungalows were charming and provided a unique lakeside experience, although they felt a bit rustic inside. The customer service was excellent, with attentive staff making our visit even more pleasant. On the downside, the bathrooms could use more toiletries, and Wi-Fi access was limited to the main restaurant area. Overall, it’s a wonderful getaway spot that I'd recommend!

Staying at this hotel was a delightful experience, with a peaceful setting right by Lake Kivu. The staff were welcoming and created a lovely atmosphere for relaxation. I heartily recommend the roasted fish and sambas appetizer. However, I did find the rooms a bit small compared to other places I've stayed, and there was some loud music later in the evening that disrupted the calm.

The rooms, while clean and well-kept, felt a bit small compared to other hotels I've stayed at in Rwanda.

Our stay at this hotel had its highs and lows. The sunsets by the lake were stunning and the garden area is beautifully designed, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were quite friendly and accommodating, providing warm water buckets when the running water was out. However, the noise from a nearby bar was incredibly disruptive, and the mattress in our bungalow was not comfortable at all. Given the price, I expected a more pleasant experience overall.

Rooms
5.0
The bungalow was visually appealing but the mattress was quite uncomfortable and slanted inwards, making for a rough night's sleep.
Service
9.0
The staff were exceptionally nice, helping us with warm water for showers when needed and offering a discount for the inconvenience.
Location
5.0
The hotel is located right by the shores of Lake Kivu, but it's quite close to a club/bar that plays loud music from morning until late evening.
Dining
7.0
The meals were tasty, and I particularly enjoyed the tilapia, but the noise while dining was distracting. A more serene environment would enhance the experience.
Facilities
6.0
The garden area by the lake is a lovely retreat, but overall the amenities did not match the higher pricing compared to other lodges in the area.

My stay at the hotel was absolutely delightful! The serene ambiance by the lake was truly enchanting, and the warm hospitality of the staff made me feel right at home. I enjoyed generous portions of delicious food, especially the grilled fish. However, I had a bit of a rough start to my mornings due to the early church services nearby, which might not be ideal for light sleepers. Overall, it's a charming and affordable choice compared to other hotels in the area.
